Beverly is a richly diverse community in Edmonton, Alberta. First settled by European immigrants, the roots of the community are in farming and coal mining. Incorporated as its own town on August 15, 1914, Beverly was an alternative to city living until it became part of Edmonton in 1961. Subsequently, the community has welcomed people from all parts of Canada and the world. Today the Olde Towne Beverly Historical Society is collecting, sharing and celebrating the stories of Beverly and its people.
